Time is the basis of age, something that forms a discrimination I don't agree with.  You're not necessarily wiser, better, more experienced, or enlightened because you're older than another person.  Although I can find plenty of people who would disagree with that statement or suggest that age is indicative of those qualities, it is more likely that most of us fear the people younger than us who are more willing and capable of allowing greater personal change in their lives.
